This four drawer dresser was designed to accompany an existing bed in the room. The challenge was to match the design, grain and color of the bed but do it using a different wood due to the fact that the wood used for the bed isn’t available. We ultimately decided on red oak to approximate the grain of the bed. The top, side panels and drawer fronts were constructed using a cutting board design to match the bed and the piece was finished using a custom stain blend and distressing technique. The drawers are made from maple, with dovetail joinery and operate on full extension under mount slides.
